The Science and Benefits of Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy, also called color light therapy, is the process of restoring balance to the body by applying color and is customizable in any sauna service.

We use medical-grade chromotherapy that is very powerful, using 96 LED lights with an array of 12 colors (see below).

It relies on the premise that each color is associated with a different bodily response. For example, red is typically associated with stimulation, while blue is considered a mentally relaxing color.

At HealthyMe, each Sauna session is customized just for you. We design a package based on your needs that day—supporting balance, relaxation, and whole-body wellness.

What are the benefits of each color?

  1. RED - Activates circulatory and nervous system
  2. ORANGE - Energizes, eliminates, localized fats, addresses asthma and bronchitis
  3. YELLOW - Purifies skin, helps indigestion and stress

What to expect during your session:

  1. Infrared sessions: choose low heat (up to 88°F) or high heat (up to 125°F). Both offer benefits—higher heat provides a deeper detox and relaxation effect.
  2. We will customize your light color to fit your goals for each session!
  3. Quiet, softly lit rooms: bring your phone to connect via Bluetooth for meditation, music, or podcasts.
